The role

Build qualified conversations, not just activity.

39Degrees is growing its Managed IT Support business across Kent and we are looking for a confident, organised Sales Development Representative to create qualified sales opportunities.

This is not a closing role. Your responsibility is to identify suitable businesses, start conversations, understand whether there is a genuine managed IT requirement and arrange qualified stakeholder meetings with our Managing Director.

We are primarily targeting Kent businesses with approximately 15–75 users that may be dissatisfied with their current IT provider, approaching a contract renewal, experiencing IT or security problems, or looking for a more proactive managed IT partner.

What you will do

  • Research suitable businesses across Kent and identify the right decision-makers.
  • Build and maintain accurate prospect records in the CRM.
  • Make outbound telephone calls and send personalised prospecting emails.
  • Use LinkedIn to identify and engage Managing Directors, Finance Directors, Operations Directors, Office Managers and IT decision-makers.
  • Promote our free 30-minute Managed IT Review and IT Support Health Check.
  • Establish whether a prospect currently uses an MSP, when any agreement renews, and what it covers.
  • Capture approximate users, endpoints, working patterns and obvious IT or security concerns.
  • Understand why the prospect is considering a change and identify other stakeholders.
  • Book qualified meetings directly into the Managing Director's diary.
  • Follow up website enquiries and maintain accurate next actions, nurture dates and opt-outs.

Employment or self-employed contractor

We are open to direct applications from candidates who prefer either a part-time employed arrangement or a self-employed contractor engagement. Any contractor arrangement will be agreed directly with 39Degrees and must reflect the actual working relationship and applicable status requirements.

Recruitment agencies: please do not submit CVs, candidate profiles or speculative introductions. We are recruiting directly and will not accept agency terms, fees or ownership claims arising from unsolicited submissions.

Applicants may also send a CV and short introduction directly to matthew@39d.co.uk.

What you will not be expected to do

You will not be expected to design technical solutions, prepare managed-services proposals, negotiate complex contracts or close deals. Your job is to create and qualify the opportunity properly, then hand it over with useful context.

Who this role suits

You should be comfortable speaking to business owners and senior decision-makers, persistent without being aggressive, and disciplined about follow-up. Previous experience in B2B appointment setting, IT services, telecoms, cybersecurity, SaaS or professional services would be useful.

MSP experience is desirable but not essential. We will provide the qualification framework, campaign messaging and the handoff process. Strong CRM discipline and clear written English matter more than knowing every technical acronym.

Initial monthly targets

Prospecting activity

  • 250–350 new target companies researched
  • 250+ personalised first contacts
  • 200+ outbound calls

Commercial outcome

  • 8–10+ qualified attended meetings
